Yutai Guide for English Speakers in Japan: A NARUTO & BORUTO Day at Nijigen no Mori on One Share

Contents
Want 50% off the NARUTO & BORUTO attraction at Nijigen no Mori, an anime park in Japan? A shareholder coupon from Pasona Group can do that. I am Japanese, and I wrote this guide for English speakers who live in Japan.
New to yutai?
Yutai (株主優待) are shareholder perks that some Japanese companies offer, such as discount coupons and meal vouchers. The basics guide explains how they work: the record date, how many shares you need, and opening a brokerage account as a foreign resident.
Pasona Group: discounts for Awaji Island
Pasona Group (2168) is a staffing company. It also runs revitalization projects on Awaji Island in Hyogo, including Nijigen no Mori, an anime theme park.

How I bought one share
How to get the coupons
- Open an account at a Japanese broker (see the basics guide).
- Buy Pasona Group (2168) shares by the last day with rights (権利付き最終日, kenri-tsuki saishū-bi). It is normally two business days before the record date, according to Daiwa Securities, and your broker shows the exact date. If the annual schedule stays the same, the next record date would be May 31, 2027. I could not find an official announcement of that date yet.
- Hold the shares through the record date (権利確定日, kenri kakutei-bi), so you are on the shareholder list.
- Wait for the coupons to arrive. According to Pasona's FAQ, the shareholder-benefit information is enclosed with the shareholder meeting documents, which are usually mailed in early August. In my case, they arrived around August 10, 2026. If yours has not arrived by late August, Pasona suggests checking your registered address and contacting them.
- Check the blackout dates below before you go.
Blackout dates
The coupons cannot be used on blackout dates. Nijigen no Mori publishes an official calendar for the 2026 coupons. It covers August 2026 to September 2027, and the days marked × are the days you cannot use them.

A real day at NARUTO & BORUTO: Monday, August 17, 2026
We went as a family of four on Monday, August 17, which was not marked on the blackout calendar. It was very hot, and the park was quiet. There was almost no wait.
We used the 50% coupon on NARUTO & BORUTO Shinobi-Zato (spelled "SHINOBI-ZATO" on the sign at the gate; the official English site calls it "Shinobi Village"). It has two main parts: Ten no Maki (Heaven Scroll), a three-story 3D maze behind the 11 m-tall Hokage Rock, and Chi no Maki (Earth Scroll), a mission rally where you collect 12 seals around the village.

What we paid
| Item | Price (tax incl.) |
|---|---|
| Lunch at Mori no Terrace (4 dishes) | ¥7,150 |
| 30% restaurant coupon | −¥2,145 |
| Lunch, paid | ¥5,005 |
| Shinobi-Zato tickets, adult × 4 (¥3,700 each) | ¥14,800 |
| 50% attraction coupon | −¥7,400 |
| Tickets, paid | ¥7,400 |
| Ramen at Ichiraku (the coupon was not applied) | ¥2,100 |
| Total discount | −¥9,545 |
The two coupons from my one share saved us ¥9,545 that day. For comparison, I paid about ¥2,142 for the share, and its price has fallen since then. This is what happened to us in August 2026, not an official rule:
- I showed the attraction coupon at the ticket window on the day, when I bought the tickets, and 50% was taken off. I did not check whether it can be used with advance tickets.
- The restaurant coupon is for designated restaurants. Mori no Terrace accepted it, but Ichiraku inside the attraction did not. The list of eligible restaurants is printed with the coupons, so check the latest list.

Figures of Sarada, Sasuke and Boruto stand next to the entrance of Ten no Maki.

Ramen at Ichiraku
The village also has Ichiraku, named after the ramen shop in the series. We had the tonkotsu ramen with egg and chashu for ¥2,100. The bowl comes with a spiral-pattern seaweed sheet and a naruto fish cake. It is theme-park pricey, and our coupon was not applied. My son had read the series, though, and he was happy to eat it in the village.

After the visit
You do not have to be a fan to enjoy it. I was not one before we went, and I still enjoyed it. After the visit, I became a fan, and now my family and I are reading the Naruto manga together. In summer, bring water, a hat and sunscreen.
