About the author

kabuman

I am Japanese and live in Tokyo. I have used shareholder perks for more than ten years, from more than 100 companies. I share what my family of five, a couple and three children, actually experienced.

Why I started this site

I wanted to show clearly and carefully what a family of five, a couple and three children, can actually experience by using shareholder perks and other good deals. That is why I run kabuman.

Investing experience

I have been investing for more than ten years. I started with a wide range, including individual stocks, margin trading and futures. Now I mostly hold high-dividend stocks and shareholder-perk stocks, and I run my portfolio at a relaxed pace.

Experience with shareholder perks and hometown tax

I have used shareholder perks for more than ten years and have held more than 100 stocks so far. I have used hometown tax donations (furusato nozei) for more than five years.

How I write

I base my articles on my own experience, and I check the content against official information from companies and local governments. I keep what I experienced separate from official information, and I add the date I checked for information that changes, such as perk details and rules. When I notice a mistake, I check it and correct it promptly.

About me

I run this site on my own while working as a systems engineer. No company decides what I write.
